Eagle Craft
The project aims at re-using water hyacinth to make environmentally friendly household items such as baskets, purses, chairs, bulb shade etc.
The project engages youths & adolescent girls and young women during harvesting and preparation of the hyacinth and weaving to come up the baskets. With support from VCA (Voices for climate action) we have been able to support 25 young women to undertake training on basket weaving. A part from the young women getting skills, they are also able to cater for their SRHR needs from selling the hyacinth products.
