Eagle Wings Organization (EWO) is a dynamic non-profit community-based organization dedicated to empowering young people and fostering sustainable development. It was established in 2020 with a focus on holistic youth development. At Eagle Wings, we believe that investing in young individuals is crucial for creating a better future. We are committed to equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives and become catalysts for positive change in their communities.

Our Strategic Focus

Youth and women economic empowerment.

We are dedicated to empowering young individuals, with a particular emphasis on young women and youth, by providing them with practical skills to improve their economic prospects and overall quality of life. Our main goal is to equip young people with the essential abilities needed to access job opportunities, establish their own businesses, and explore entrepreneurial endeavors. This aligns with SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.

Through this focus, we aim to educate and empower young people about sexual and reproductive health while promoting their rights in this area. We strives to provide comprehensive information, including topics like puberty, safe sex, contraception, and consent. We conduct in-school workshops and community-based dialogues to make information accessible to all, reducing gender inequalities and reaching youth who may not be in school. This aligns with SDGs related to health, education, gender equality, and reducing inequalities to improve the well-being and empowerment of young individuals.

Environmental Conservation

The Environmental Conservation program's primary objective is to raise awareness among young people about critical environmental issues and foster sustainable practices. We actively engage young individuals in climate action through a variety of activities, including tree planting campaigns, clean-up drives, recycling initiatives, and advocacy for environmentally friendly policies. The overarching goal is to contribute to the creation of a sustainable future and to mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change, aligning with SDGs related to climate action (SDG 13) and responsible consumption and production (SDG 12)

Making significant strides in improving women's health and rights in remote areas

Eagle Wings Organization began as an idea in 2020 in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic. Having engaged with the community and noticed the increase in cases of violence and challenges young women and girls were going through to cater for their sexual reproductive need, together with other likeminded women, we saw the need to come on board and offer targeted support.

The organization is dedicated to supporting girls and women in rural communities to sustainably cater for their reproductive health needs even in the midst of a global health crisis. We address challenges faced by girls and women in rural areas in accessing reproductive health services, including lack of information, limited access to healthcare providers, and cultural stigmatization. We believe that women economic empowerment is key to managing most of the challenges within households and this is why our aim is to economically empower girls and women through hands on skills training.

We have launched hands-on skills projects on digital fabrication, agri-business, and local manufacturing to offer young girls and women with skills, and continue to organize community health education programs to empower women with knowledge about their reproductive health
